Last updated: 3 July 2026

Teachably (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

Teachably provides GCSE Maths tuition and related educational resources to students and parents in the UK. This policy applies to teachably.co.uk and to anyone who visits our website, contacts us, or uses our services.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your personal data, you can contact us at asad@teachably.co.uk.

2. The information we collect

We collect the following types of personal data:

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address and, where provided, phone number.
  • Information about your child, such as year group, target grade, current school and academic needs, where you share this with us.
  • The content of any messages, enquiries or feedback you send us.
  • Booking information, such as your name, email address and any details you provide when booking a call with us.
  • Technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and general location, collected automatically when you visit our website.
  • Usage information, such as pages visited, time spent on our website and how you arrived at our website, for example from a Facebook or Instagram advert.
  • Testimonials and reviews, if you provide a written or video testimonial that we publish on our website or social media with your consent.

3. How we collect your information

We collect personal data when you:

  • Fill in a form on our website, for example to access our free video course or download resources.
  • Book a call with us through our online booking system.
  • Contact us directly by email.
  • Browse our website, through cookies and similar tracking technologies.

4. How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide the tuition, resources and services you have requested.
  • Respond to your enquiries and communicate with you about your child’s tuition.
  • Send you the free resources or course content you have signed up for.
  • Improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
  • Measure and improve the performance of our marketing, including social media advertising.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We only use your personal data where we have a valid legal basis to do so. This will usually be one of the following: your consent, for example when you sign up to receive our free course or marketing communications; our legitimate interests, for example to respond to enquiries, improve our website and run relevant advertising, provided this does not override your rights; the performance of a contract, to provide tuition services once you have agreed to work with us; or a legal obligation, where we are required to process data to comply with the law.

5. Children’s information

Our tuition services are for GCSE-age students, most of whom are under 18. We collect information about children only from a parent or guardian, and only what is necessary to provide tuition, such as year group, target grade and academic needs.

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children without parental involvement. Any video testimonial or review featuring a student is only published with the consent of a parent or guardian.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help it function properly, understand how visitors use our site, and support our advertising on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. These technologies may collect information such as your IP address, browser type and browsing behaviour on our website.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of our website may not function as intended if you disable cookies.

7. Third-party services we use

We work with a small number of trusted third-party providers to run our website and services, including:

  • GoHighLevel, for our lead capture forms and email communications.
  • Calendly, for booking calls.
  • Vercel, for website hosting and analytics.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising and measuring the performance of our adverts.

These providers may process your personal data on our behalf, in accordance with their own privacy policies, and may be located outside the UK.

8. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information with the third-party service providers listed above, where necessary to operate our website and services, and where required by law.

9. International data transfers

Some of our third-party providers may store or process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected to a standard consistent with UK data protection law.

10. How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes it was collected for, including to provide our services, respond to enquiries, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

If you unsubscribe from our marketing communications, we will stop using your data for marketing purposes, though we may retain limited records to comply with the law.

11. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to delete your data, where applicable.
  • Object to or restrict how we use your data.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

12. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
